クリフトン年代記

Clifton saga

ジェフリーアーチャーによる7巻にわたるクリフトン年代記を読み終えた。最初は読み切れるか自信がなかったが、ついに読み切った！読み続けられた理由は

１．物語そのものがドキドキの連続で面白い

２．イギリスの文化や　物の考え方、貴族の生活、など色々な知識が得られた

３．英語がそれほど難しくないので　細部が分からなくても物語を追い続けることが

　　出来た。

クリフトン一家の家族の絆にぐっときた。

長ーい年代記に没頭したいのでしたら　このシリーズはおすすめだ。

Chrifton saga

I have read Clifton chronicle which consists of seven volumes．The author is Jeffery Archer.  At the beginning of the reading, I had not had confidence to read until the last volume.  But I have made it!  The reason I could enjoy the reading is:

1. The story itself is exiting and interesting
2. It taught me English culture, way of thinking, politics, the life of noble people, etc.
3. The English is not so difficult. Although I could not fully understand the details, I could understand the story and continue reading.

I was so impressed by the tight bond of Clifton family.  If you want to engulf into the long saga, I highly recommend the series.
